Our Work

When hardship threatens a dream, we respond.

Practical, timely and dignified support that keeps capable students on their educational journey.

The Problem

A small shortfall can end a long journey.

University students in Uganda routinely face costs that must be met on a deadline: tuition instalments, examination and functional fees, accommodation, learning materials and practical placements.

When a family's circumstances change suddenly — illness, bereavement, loss of income, a failed harvest — those deadlines don't move. A student can be barred from examinations, deregistered, or forced to defer indefinitely over an amount that a community could carry with ease.

Behind every such moment is a young person who has already worked hard, earned their place and is capable of finishing. Our task is to make sure the finish line stays within reach.

Our Programmes

Five areas of practical response.

These are the foundation's initial programme areas. Each is developed in stages and will be marked as fully established once formally operating and governed.

Student Support

Our core programme. Verified students facing a financial barrier receive targeted support toward essential educational costs, so they can continue without interruption.

How we stay accountable

How Students Are Selected

Fair, confidential, and rooted in need.

Every application is handled with confidentiality and respect. Support decisions are based on demonstrated need, verification and the potential for the intervention to keep a student on track.

  • Application — the student describes their situation and the specific support required.
  • Verification — enrolment, fee status and circumstances are confirmed with appropriate documentation.
  • Review — a review panel considers the application against published criteria.
  • Support — wherever possible, payments are made directly to the institution.
  • Accompaniment — the student remains part of the community, not a closed file.
