Restoring Hope. Protecting Dreams. Building Futures.

Through faith, solidarity and collective action, we help students overcome financial barriers and continue their educational journey.

The Veil Community

Together, we can carry the weight.

No student should have to face a difficult moment alone. When thousands of people each carry a small part, one person's burden becomes a community's responsibility — and a dream stays alive.

The Problem

When financial hardship threatens a dream.

Across Uganda's universities are intelligent, ambitious young people who have earned their place. Then life happens — a parent's illness, a lost job, a family emergency — and suddenly tuition, examination fees, accommodation or learning materials fall out of reach.

The cost of interruption is enormous. A semester lost can become a degree abandoned. Years of effort, family sacrifice and personal hope can unravel over a shortfall that a community could carry with ease.

This student has a future. Let's help them reach it.

Our Response

Four pillars. One mission.

Faith in action means turning compassion into something practical, dependable and dignified.

Education

Helping students remain on their educational journey when essential costs threaten to interrupt it.

Solidarity

People standing together so that one person's burden becomes a community's shared responsibility.

Faith in Action

Transforming Christian compassion into practical, respectful service rooted in human dignity.

Hope

Protecting opportunities and helping young people keep building the future they have worked for.

The Movement

10,000 Veils.
One shared commitment.

Ten thousand people contributing UGX 10,000 each month creates a community-powered foundation capable of providing sustained, dependable educational support — without depending on any single donor.

Every leaf on this tree is one Veil. As people join, the tree fills with life. When it is complete, ten thousand small acts of solidarity will have formed one living symbol of what a community can carry together.

Why Veronica's Veil?

A small act of compassion, remembered for centuries.

In Catholic tradition, Veronica is remembered as the woman who stepped out of the crowd to wipe the face of Christ as He carried the cross — a simple, courageous gesture of compassion offered in a moment of suffering.

She could not remove His burden. But she refused to let Him face it unseen. That is the spirit of this foundation: we may not be able to change every circumstance, but we can make sure no student carries a hard moment alone.

Our name calls us to the same quiet courage — to step forward, to see the person in front of us, and to offer a shoulder to lean on.

Faith & Reflection

"Carry each other's burdens."

Rooted in Catholic Social Teaching — human dignity, solidarity, the common good and a preferential concern for those in hardship — our faith is not decoration. It is the reason we act.

One Veil. One act of solidarity.
